HVC note: updated listing info. (01/01/04)
RF - Dr. Setser is conveniently located at 2 vet clinics - BOTH of which are TOP NOTCH in quality care.
I am a sort of new snake owner of a dwarf boa with severe
spinal deormities. Dr. Setser has taken great care of us and I am blessed
to have him as our primary physician for our 'boa baby'. He is a
genius, inquisitive, witty, willing to answer questions and has a fantastic
'bedside manner'. I highly recommend him to ANY exotic pet owner.

Dr. Raines is chief of staff and on-site five
days a week. Hospital is open 7 days a week.
Dr. Raines has experience in spay surgery for Iguanas and
Chameleons. In my personal experience, successfully performed a spay and
egg removal (egg-bound) for my 4 yr ig. Very good medical outcome,
good staff, and follow-up, and priced at US$ 159.00 for procedure. Has
done labs and annual check-ups for 2 1/2 yrs on this ig. Seems well
informed on care, diet, etc. Very good comfort level handling ig (48"+
stl), gentle with animal, no stress. Followed a conservative approach in
treatment of gravid ig, did not "push" surgery as "quick-fix", focussed
on immediate, then long term health of the animal. (08/07/02)
